J\u2019implore ta piti\u00e9, Toi, l\u2019unique que j\u2019aime,
Du fond du gouffre obscur o\u00f9 mon coeur est tomb\u00e9.
C\u2019est un univers morne \u00e0 l\u2019horizon plomb\u00e9,
O\u00f9 nagent dans la nuit l\u2019horreur et le blasph\u00e8me ;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Un soleil sans chaleur plane au-dessus six mois,
Et les six autres mois la nuit couvre la terre ;
C\u2019est un pays plus nu que la terre polaire ;
– Ni b\u00eates, ni ruisseaux, ni verdure, ni bois !<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Or il n\u2019est pas d\u2019horreur au monde qui surpasse
La froide cruaut\u00e9 de ce soleil de glace
Et cette immense nuit semblable au vieux Chaos ;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Je jalouse le sort des plus vils animaux
Qui peuvent se plonger dans un sommeil stupide.
Tant l\u2019\u00e9cheveau du temps lentement se d\u00e9vide !<\/p>\n\n\n\n
